Some of Golden Ink's brand new range!

As of late Katherine and I have been studiously working on a new series of ceramic home-wares and jewellery. We will be giving two of these pieces away! Keep reading for details...

For this new series we wanted to work on a concept that tied my printmaking background and knowledge together with Katherine's more fluid and sculptural approach. Based on this concept we have created a way of using and creating specially hand carved printing plates to emboss the surface of our ceramic forms.

The early stages of creating Golden Ink pieces

The methods we have used in this series creates very tactile and sumptuous bespoke pieces. Another aesthetic we have bought to the pieces and explored was a more painterly one; to aid in our philosophy of creating one-off pieces, and to make visible our makers marks. Our new series of work brings bright splashes of colour via a fluid water-colour like effect.

You could win one of these! Just leave a comment before 10pm on Thursday to go in the draw to win!
These two elements combined have shaped our new body of work. Our bright spring pieces will be available shortly BUT two lucky readers will get the chance to win one of two special pieces before they are released.

We have recently released Season 2 of our our new watercolour range in our store, available here.

Other recent work ventures include exhibition work 'Places and Spaces' at Cudgegong Gallery in regional NSW.
