The Pyramids of Giza, Cairo
Karnak, Luxor
Abu Simbel

Egypt is one of those countries that is probably on everybody's travel list. And deservedly so. It doesn't matter how many times you have seen pictures of the Pyramids, or any other ancient Egyptian site for that matter, it absolutely blows you away.

the Red Sea
Our simple but beautiful accommodation

Time after time we were left speechless (the Pyramids are just the tip of iceberg). Not only are there ancient sights to be explored, but the rich culture, Islamic architecture and of course the beautiful underwater world of the Red Sea. Chilling by the Red Sea was pure bliss and some of the best snorkeling we had done. A must after all the exploring of ancient sites!

A Felucca trip on the Nile, Aswan
Travelling along the Nile in a traditional felucca boat is another must-do being beautiful and unique angle from which to observe Egyptian life. Despite the events of the revolution, we were safe the whole time and were warmly welcomed with open arms.
