I'm both ashamed and delighted to play the part of a photo-snapping tourist whenever I go on holidays and today's We Love Perth guide to the best local attractions has got me very excited! Sparkling beaches, local flora and fauna and art glass- what's not to love?! -Jenny

Even though we know Perth inside out (or at least we like to think we do), there are some places that just blow us away each time we visit. These are the top three places we recommend that you visit when you come to Perth!

Cottesloe Beach is not only a favourite tourist spot, it’s also popular with the locals for a reason. You just can’t beat sitting under the Norfolk pines with ice cream dribbling down your chin, whilst you take in the crystal clear blue water, never ending sunshine, and that soft afternoon breeze. Everyone has memories of swimming races out to the bell, playing some beach volleyball, or eating fish and chips whilst enjoying the sunset and the Fremantle Doctor.

Although most cities have their own botanic gardens, we think Perth’s Kings Park is pretty tops. It’s hard to beat the view over the city and the Swan River, or the central location. Take in the local flora, go exploring on the tree tops walk, and enjoy a movie outdoors and under the stars in summertime. It is also home to an excellent design and gift store, Aspects, where you’ll find all sorts of treats from a huge pot of local talent.

If you’re traveling with children and need to keep them entertained, then Caversham Wildlife Park will do the job. It’s also a great excuse to experience personally feeding the kangaroos, and will be sure to impress international visitors. It’s a bit of a drive into the northern suburbs, so you might like to take a car, but there are plenty of tour buses that will take you up as well.
