A big hello and welcome to Evie of Handmade Romance! This week is going to be wonderful - not only is Evie sharing some of her favourite examples of hand-drawn design here on the Guest Blog, she will also have a project running parallel on Handmade Romance too! Brilliant! - Jenny x

Hello! My name is Evie and I'm very chuffed to be in the surrounds of such wonderful company. I hope you've all had a wonderful weekend and are ready for the week ahead. Mondays can be tough so I'll take things easy and begin by telling you a little about myself.

Based in Melbourne, my days are taken up working as a graphic designer at Bloom Cosmetics. I also have a blog – Handmade Romance – where I mostly share my obsession with things hand made. In addition to this obsession I have an extra soft spot for the hand drawn. I love sighting wonky lines and the perfect imperfections a hand drawn image possesses, hinting of the human connection and where it all began.

This week I will be sharing with you some of my favourite things which combine both design and the hand drawn. And over on Handmade Romance I will be following along with a little project each day. First up are some of my favourite hand illustrated designs for wallpaper.

Mike Perry advocate for hand drawn was the creator behind the top two, they were sold via the fabulous bespoke wallpaper stockist Studio Nommo. The bottom image is of beautiful custom-made wallpaper by Swedish based designer Malin Björklund Ritar. Limited edition wallpaper by London based Ana Montiel. So much detail! Random Geometry, by Nama Rococo, top left. Super fun, Colour in Wallpaper by Jon Burgerman.

Another from Nama Rococo, French Dot, bottom left. And London based, nature lover Camilla Meijer created the bottom right, Granny Flower wallpaper.

Julia Rothman (who also writes the wonderful Book By Its Cover blog) created this hand drawn wallpaper pattern called Nethercote, available at Hygge & West.

Julia Rothman, Treat wallpaper for Hygge & West. Intricately detailed Domestic World wallpaper by Melbourne artist Dylan Martorell.

The sweetest of them all, these two wallpapers Ohoy and Mountain feature illustrations by 8 year old Otto, son to Elisabeth Dunker of Fine Little Day and Studio Violet.

All of this wallpaper at this time of the year has left me thinking of wrapping paper for Christmas presents. If you would like some tips on how to make your own hand drawn, wallpaper inspired wrapping paper head on over to Handmade Romance.

x Enjoy,

Evie
