OK so I am really sorry to do this, as I am not at all usually into blowing my own trumpet, but when you have a calendar to flog it really becomes apparent that at some stage you kind of need to do some PROMOTION… so forgive me for reminding you all that TONIGHT is the official launch of The Design Files Neighbourhood Calendar!

It is at Lamington Drive in Collingwood, from 6.00pm!

There will be a beautiful and gigantic illustration handpainted on one wall of the gallery, by the most excellent Kat Chadwick!

There will be an interative component! (Big thanks to Kikki K for supplying materials for the mysterious DIY aspect of tonight’s proceedings!)

There will be delicious Beatbox Kitchen Burgers!

Beatbox Kitchen burgers… mmmm sooo yummy.  Brought to you by Beci Orpin’s very clever other half, Raph Rashid.  Most pics here from Beci’s Blog, the food pic is by Joyce from MelHotorNot.

I will be there, Jenny Butler will be there, Jeremy Wortsman will be there, Kat Macleod + bonus baby bump, Lizzy Wilson and the girls from Ortolan will be there… MANY of the incredible illustrators who made beautiful illos for the calendar will be there…. it really will be like one big amazing Design Files / Lamington Drive party! Please come along, say hello, eat a  burger and /or lamington, admire the work of 12 of Australia’s best illustrators – and if you walk away with a CALENDAR…. well I can’t help that!

I feel also I must take this opportunity to say a huge THANKYOU to you guys for all your amazing support with the calendar so far!  Thankyou thankyou thankyou!  So many lovely emails and words of encouragement… you truly are the loveliest bunch of blog-readers ever!  A special shout-out also to everyone who has pre-ordered – your parcels will be shipped super soon, as the calendar officially goes on sale TODAY!  And if you can’t make it to the launch tonight, you can now pop into Lamington Drive anytime and buy one off the shelf!
