Blanket Magazine is a free bi-monthly Australian online magazine aimed at uncovering new art, design and photography from all over the world. It’s the creation of Brisbane-based photographer/graphic designer/editor Bec Brown and a team of contributers… and its jam-packed with a fantastic variety of illustration, photography and artwork, as well as interviews with some very talented creatives from Australia and beyond.
aaannnndddd…. I was very flattered that Bec asked me to contribute to her latest issue! My ’6 design confessions’ are featured alongside those of 2 other fantastic bloggers – freshlyblended and my love for you is a stampede of horses.
Some of my favourite shots from the latest Blanket Magazine are below – be sure to download issue 11 – ‘the confessional issue’ for yourself though! (I had trouble with Firefox – try Safari).
Blanket issue 11 cover – illustration by Hannah Stouffer (who is interviewed in the mag – check out her website – amazing stuff!)

Interview with Brisbane artist Sue-Ching Lascelles. Lascelles’ incredible work blurs the distinction between fine art and craft… She’s inspired by everyday items, recreating them as soft sculptures and encouraging a tactile relationship with her work. I love that bacon… gathered along one edge! Genius.
